SEASONAL SUPS & CIDER FESTIVAL – Sat 17th – Sun 18th September
This weekend we’re celebrating seasonal bounty in all its forms: with over 25 different ciders from around the UK, a variety of fruit wines and liquors and a cask-rack groaning under the weight of seasonal ales we’ve got something for all palettes and persuasions.
There’s a performance by the Ramrugge Clog Morris Dancers on Saturday at 3pm followed by live music at 5pm from the wonderfully talented Katy Andersen, a soulful female singer/songwriter and ukulele player who’ll be taking up residence on the hay bales as afternoon becomes evening.
On Sunday from 2pm local folk musicians will aid the afternoon imbibing with some traditional tunes and songs.
On both days there’ll be an outdoor BBQ serving roast pork rolls with apple sauce and crafty, gallery neighbours Dot to Dot will be running activities inspired by the turn of the season.
So, whether your poison is ‘Whisky Cask’ from Scotland’s Thistly Cross cidery, a fruity cherry wine from Devon, a simple snifter of Somersetshire perry or a gorgeous ‘Blackberry Porter’ from Suffolk we guarantee you’ll be seeing the summer out in style.
