Do you have any plans to extend these hours?

We are hoping to extend our hours until a little later on Thursday nights. We are a very small team and so need the other hours in the week to brew and run the company but we hope to extend soon, so will update this website and social media with news when we have it.

Do you serve other drinks apart from beer?

Yes – a selection of still and bottled ciders, wines, spirits and soft drinks is also available including gin from Royston, local apple juice and ciders from Baldock and Belvoir soft drinks. Our Prosecco also goes down a treat, as does the delicious Villa Maria Sauvignon Blanc from NZ

Do you serve low alcohol beer?

Yes !

I’m interested in brewing – will you be showing people around the brewery?

The brewery will be partly visible from the serving area but if you want a closer look the best thing to do is get a group together and book a slot in advance to come and visit and have a quick ‘tour’ – the brewer will happily show you around

What is ‘Real Ale’?

Real ale is a beer brewed from traditional ingredients (malted barley, hops water and yeast), matured by secondary fermentation in the container from which it is dispensed, and served without the use of extraneous carbon dioxide.

Brewers use ingredients which are fresh and natural, resulting in a drink which tastes natural and full of flavour. It is literally living as it continues to ferment in the cask in your local pub, developing its flavour as it matures ready to be poured into your glass.

Real ale is also known as ‘cask-conditioned beer’, ‘real cask ale’, real beer’ and ‘naturally conditioned beer.’ The term ‘real ale’ and the above definition were coined by CAMRA in the early 1970s.

Do you do takeaways?

Info about Beer Deliveries & Takeaway >

I run a pub/beer festival – can we buy a cask of your ale?

Due to limited time and space to brew we are unable, at present, to do any wholesale orders due to the fact we need to keep all the beer we brew for sale in our bar so we don’t run out. From time to time we are able to sell beers to festivals so please contact us on holly@gardencitybrewery.co.uk with any festival queries.

I’m having a party/getting married – can we buy a cask of your beer?

Due to limited time and space to brew we are unable, at present, to do any wholesale orders due to the fact we need to keep all the beer we brew for sale in our bar so we don’t run out. From time to time we are able to sell beers to some private/charity functions depending on the timing and availability of supply so please contact us on holly@gardencitybrewery.co.uk with any queries.
